️️️️️Had a fantastic experience at The Red Lion in Kings Heath! Went with a friend for Sunday lunch, and it couldn’t have been better. The food was delicious – hearty portions, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. Our server, Ade, was outstanding – friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without feeling rushed. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed Sunday meal. Highly recommend, and I’ll definitely be back soon!

I took my little one for a meal here as she fancied a "pub meal". We are newly local so we thought we would try out the Red Lion and see what's happening. The pub is very nice inside, with great staff and the revellers were friendly too. Very good atmosphere as other families were seated having their meals.Very family and children friendly. My little one hand a burger and chips meal and I opted for the mixed grill. We both simultaneously said to each other how nice the chips were. (Best I've had in a pub!!!!) The mixed grill was unreal, thoroughly enjoyed it. Little one loved her food.Would recommend this place any day of the week!!!Kid-friendliness: Definitely somewhere you can take the kids.

First visit here in literally years, I remember it as a noisy pub with live music but now it's more of a family friendly establishment serving better than average pub grub. I had my dog with me and she was made to feel welcome, a water bowl was provided for her. We ordered burgers and soup. The burgers were a good quality but we found the skin on fries to be a bit cold. The soup was ok, nothing special and a bit expensive for the portion size. This was still a good experience and if I'm ever this way again I know where to go.Parking: Parking is only free if you go into the pub and put your registration number into the console. We found it wasn't very well signposted how to get to the carpark. We aren't local so did end up driving round to find an entrance which is on a different road.

Service was ok, bar staff didn't seem to like we requested a new wine glass because the one we had was basically still dirty.Food wasn't any better. The posh fish & chips wasn't good at all. The fish was very oily, couldn't eat it and the chips were under cooked. The scampi was also oily. The steak was cooked correctly but chips were under cooked also and the beef dripping was cold. The pub itself is nice inside and out but food was bad and service could have been a little better for a pub standard.(Photos are the steak meal is what was left over because it was inedible)
